When God touches our lives we are never the same again. For Lavinia, all she wanted to do was talk about God. She thanks God for a church that encouraged her to study His word and read books that would help her understand more about the things of God. As a new Christian, when asked to give her testimony by her pastor she said,
"What would I say, I don't know anything."
His reply was simple.. "Just tell what the Lord has done for you today".

Lavinia learned to expect God to do something in her life everyday and to speak to her through ordinary everyday things. She still speaks about those ordinary things. She speaks simply, but with passion. Described as an inspirational speaker congregations rock with laughter then minutes later find the tears flowing. People are challenged by her perspective on life and her simple faith as she shares the love and compassion of a God who loves unconditionally. Many for the first time realise how much they are loved and valued by God.

Lavinia's own conversion is as fresh to her today as it was all those years ago as a 12 year old girl when she committed her life to God. Her desire is to encourage people to know God in a deep, personal way. To come to Him just as they are, bringing their brokenness and fears to the one who can restore and bring peace. As she says of Him, He's the God of the second chance. The one who sees potential in lives that no-one else can see. This is the One she so delights to call Father.
