"We all have a story to tell. Each one of us live that story every day. Most of life is made up of ordinary days, but every once in a while extraordinary things happen that change everything. The journey takes on a new significance.

My journey started June 1951, but my life started on one of those extraordinary days 12 years later. That was the day that I gave my life away. That was the day that was to change everything for the rest of my life. That day, I asked the Lord Jesus to cleanse me from my sin, come into my life, and make me His child. The peace and the joy that filled my life at that moment are hard for me to put into words. I knew that God heard my prayer, something very real happened. All the pain, fear and confusion was replaced with peace, contentment and trust. Although that was many years ago, the experience of that day has never left. The memory has never faded, if anything it has become more precious because I have known God's faithfulness to me throughout my life.

Not all the days were happy ones. There were many days when the sun was hidden by life's shadows. Sometimes the shadows stayed for a long time, but God stayed too, I was not alone in the pain. I did not know when I came to Him all those years ago just how much I would need Him. I also did not know that He would meet my every need. He has, He does, He always will."
